(CRST) Certified Refrigeration Service Technician Review Course

Prerequisite:

1. To attend the CRST Class; Review class students should have a good understanding of the principles of mechanical refrigeration, electricity, and personal / industrial safety.

2. To be eligible to take the RETA CRST Exam; You must already have an active (non expired) RETA CARO or CIRO Certification to take the Certified Refrigeration Service Technician (CRST) exam or have documentation of at least 4 years of industrial refrigeration experience.

The course is intended for persons who have operational responsibility or management of an industrial refrigeration plant/system. This includes persons that provide contracted maintenance and operation of industrial refrigeration systems.

Study Materials

  • RETA Regulatory Guideline, RETA Industrial Refrigeration Course 3, and RETA CO2 course book.
  • In addition, the RETA CRST Study Guide is reviewed. Students will receive these resources as part of their attendance in the review course.


Your Instructor:

  • The review course is led by Don Tragethon (CIRO & RAI.) Don has 38 years of experience in operation, design, regulatory relationship building, and ammonia first responder training. He is a past president of RETA (2001) and was the RETA Executive Director from 2004 through 2013.


This is a 4-Day, 8-Hour per day course.

This is a 4 day (32- hour) comprehensive training course to ensure you know and understand the content of this training.

The key to the success of this training program is to ensure you will have the necessary knowledge and skill set to perform your job with integrity and quality. Therefore, you will be given Tests throughout the training, to ensure you have learned the materials.

NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC shall ascertain that each Student has received and understood the training. NH3 Training Center of Texas, LLC will prepare a record which contains the identity of the student, the date of training, and the means used to verify that the student understood the training.
